You'll never forget your wedding

About us

About me - Emily Costeaux

I was born in 1987 in the charming little town of Ville de Morgon, not far from Lyon. From an early age, I was fascinated by images and the stories they tell. My father, a keen amateur photographer, often took me on photographic walks through the Lyon countryside. It was thanks to him that I learned to appreciate the beauty of small moments and to capture the essence of everyday scenes.

Growing up, I spent hours leafing through family photo albums, admiring the shots taken at weddings, birthdays and village festivals. These timeless memories awakened in me a deep love for photography and the idea of capturing precious moments for future generations.

My Training and Professional Start

After high school, I decided to study visual arts at the University of Lyon. During these years at university, I was able to deepen my knowledge of photography and artistic techniques. My teachers were quick to notice my talent for capturing unique moments and encouraged my personal and professional development.

Alongside my studies, I started working as an assistant for several well-known wedding photographers. This practical experience was invaluable, allowing me to learn the ropes, from managing the lighting to interacting with the couples on their wedding day.

The Evolution of My Career

After graduating, I decided to set up on my own as a freelance photographer. My first commissions were from friends and family, but soon my name started to spread through word of mouth. My distinctive style, combining reportage and artistic photography, has won over many couples looking for authentic memories.

Today, I'm proud to say that I've photographed over 200 weddings across France and even abroad. Each wedding is unique and represents a new opportunity for me to tell a beautiful love story through my photographs.

My Photographic Style and Approach

My approach to wedding photography is primarily documentary. I like to capture spontaneous moments, real emotions and natural interactions between people. My aim is to create images that tell a story and that, even years later, will bring back memories of the wedding day.

I try to make couples feel at ease in front of the camera, so that they forget my presence and act naturally. This method produces photos that are authentic and full of life, far removed from staid, artificial poses.
